Lord's Mark Industries shares surged over 4% following the announcement of its latest regulatory achievement, closing 2.57% higher at ₹81.47 on Monday. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹82.74 per share and an intraday low of ₹80 on BSE, with the company achieving a market capitalisation of ₹3,475.69 crore. This positive market reaction reflects investor confidence in the company's strategic expansion into UK and UK-allied markets through its registered IVD portfolio with the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
Lord's Mark Industries has secured another significant regulatory milestone in the UK & UK allied markets, with its IVD portfolio registered with the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. According to company reports, the latest registration, dated September 24, 2026, records Lord's Mark Industries as a registered manufacturer and covers IVD categories including haematological cell analysers, multiple clinical chemistry analysers, buffered sample diluents and instrument/analyser cleaning agents. This development comes within days of announcing its MHRA registration for its AI-powered Renalyx haemodialysis system, marking its planned entry into the UK and UK-allied markets. The successive registrations now broaden the international roadmap from renal-care technology to diagnostics, creating the foundation for a wider healthcare portfolio in the region.
The company has announced plans to commence commercial sales of its IVD products in the UK from December 2026, approximately two months ahead of its earlier schedule. As reported by the company, Lord's Mark Industries intends to leverage the UK market as an important international platform while pursuing opportunities across UK-allied markets, subject to applicable regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction. The UK government states that medical devices, including IVDs, must be registered with MHRA before they can be placed on the Great Britain market, making the registration an important regulatory step towards commercialisation. The planned launch is about two months ahead of the company's earlier schedule, allowing Lords Mark to leverage the UK as an international platform while pursuing opportunities across UK-allied markets, subject to local regulatory requirements.
Lord's Mark Industries is simultaneously expanding beyond product exports into healthcare delivery, with plans to commence operations of its pathology laboratory from January 2027. According to company reports, this pathology laboratory launch will create an additional platform for diagnostic services and support the company's broader vision of integrating diagnostic products, laboratory capabilities and healthcare delivery. The laboratory is expected to add a services layer to its diagnostics business, alongside the sale of analysers, reagents and related products. In its recent investor communication, management had outlined an analyser-led model in which placements can generate recurring demand for proprietary reagents and consumables. The UK entry could therefore be relevant not only for equipment sales but also for the development of repeat consumables revenue, depending on customer adoption and the pace of installations. With the latest MHRA registration, December 2026 commercialisation and January 2027 pathology-lab launch, Lord's Mark Industries is positioning its UK expansion as an integrated healthcare strategy rather than a single-product market entry, bringing together IVDs, advanced medical technology and diagnostic services.
The international expansion comes as Lord's Mark seeks to shift its business mix towards healthcare and medical technology. In the June 2026 quarter, the company reported net sales of ₹307.68 crore and profit after tax of ₹33.18 crore. While sales and profit were lower sequentially than in the March quarter, operating profitability improved, with PBIDT margin excluding other income rising to 15.98 per cent from 12.13 per cent. The stock's recent performance shows mixed signals, with a 12.8% decline in two weeks, 87% decline in 2026 so far, 87% decline in one year and around 74% decline in two years. The UK initiative remains execution dependent, with MHRA registration being a necessary step towards market access, but commercial traction will depend on distribution arrangements, pricing, service support, competition and regulatory compliance in each market where the company seeks to sell. The pathology laboratory plan will also require successful operational rollout after its scheduled January 2027 start.
