
Krishival Foods Limited announced on Monday that its ice cream brand Melt N Mellow has crossed 15,000 deep freezer deployments across its retail network, marking a roughly fourfold expansion in cold chain infrastructure over the current financial year. According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, the Mumbai-based FMCG company's freezer count grew from 3,732 units at the start of the year to 15,490 units as of March 31, 2026. The network expansion is aimed at improving product availability, quality consistency and visibility, while accelerating the brand's presence across urban as well as Tier II and Tier III markets.
The rollout covers over 30,000 retail touch points spread across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, Chairman Sujit Bangar stated that the expansion was aimed at strengthening last-mile distribution for the company's frozen products, with a focus on Tier II and Tier III markets. CEO of Melt N Mellow, Abhishek Puranik, called the milestone a step toward building a scalable distribution ecosystem for the brand.
The stock was trading at ₹328.00 on the NSE on Monday, remaining flat from the previous session. According to The Hindu BusinessLine, the company operates a manufacturing facility with a stated capacity of one lakh litres per day. Krishival Foods, which also sells premium nuts and dried fruits under the Krishival Nuts brand, listed on exchanges in June 2025.
The company's stock has returned 48 per cent over the past year against Nifty 50's 2.28 per cent, though it remains about 32 per cent below its 52-week high of ₹483.81 recorded in October 2025. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, the company plans to deepen its presence in existing markets and further expand into smaller cities.
