KPI Green Energy has achieved a significant milestone by energizing over 1 GW from its expanded Independent Power Producer (IPP) portfolio, which has now grown to 2.3 GW from the previously reported 2.17 GW. The company recently energized an additional 376 MWp capacity, comprising approximately 182 MWp solar capacity in the GUVNL 250/350 MWp project and 164 MWp solar capacity and 30 MWp wind capacity in the GUVNL 370 MW/677 MWp project. With this expansion, the company has set an ambitious target of reaching 10 GW capacity by 2030, demonstrating strong operational capabilities across multiple renewable projects including solar and wind assets under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
The company's total Independent Power Producer (IPP) portfolio has expanded to 2.3 GW, with the balance capacity under execution and expected to be commissioned in a phased manner. The firm successfully commissioned and started injecting power from its 200 MW (240 MWp) solar IPP project at Khavda Solar Park (South Block) in January 2026, making it among the earliest projects operational within the 1.8 GW solar park developed by GSECL. Additionally, KPI Green Energy has signed a PPA for 150 MW wind project with GUVNL, which has achieved financial closure with commissioning expected by October 2027, contributing to India's broader renewable energy objectives and KP Group's ambitious expansion plans.
