KPI Green Energy has successfully energized 130 MW AC / 195 MW DC solar capacity under its 370 MW AC / 677 MW DC Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project at Bharuch, Gujarat. According to reports from Business Standard, this latest addition brings the company's cumulative capacity under the Wind-Solar Hybrid IPP Project to 269.7 MW AC / 389.7 MW DC. The project is being developed by the company as an independent power producer (IPP) under a long-term power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL). As reported by KPI Green Energy Limited, this development marks a key milestone in the project's ongoing development and strengthens the company's annuity-based revenue streams through progressive capacity energization under long-term PPAs.
The company's financial results for Q4 FY26 demonstrate strong growth momentum. As reported by Business Standard, consolidated net profit jumped 49.23% to ₹155.47 crore in Q4 FY26, compared with ₹104.18 crore in Q4 FY25. Total revenue for Q4 FY26 stood at ₹810.20 crore, representing a 40.22% year-on-year increase from ₹577.80 crore in Q4 FY25. Following these results, shares of KPI Green Energy rose 0.92% to ₹306.15 on the BSE. The company highlighted that the progressive energization of capacity under long-term PPAs is crucial for strengthening its annuity-based, recurring revenue streams, which enhances earnings visibility and aims to create sustained long-term value for stakeholders.
The Bharuch project demonstrates standardized efficiency parameters across its hybrid infrastructure. The newly energized segment shows a ratio of approximately 1.5:1 between DC input (195 MW) and AC output (130 MW), consistent with industry conversion standards. This pattern extends to the cumulative totals, where 389.7 MW DC input yields 269.7 MW AC output, indicating standardized efficiency parameters across the phased development of the hybrid plant. The facility operates under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), securing stable off-take for the generated power and providing revenue visibility for the company's IPP operations.
The latest energization brings KPI Green Energy's total energized IPP capacity to 965 MWp, adding to the company's steadily expanding Independent Power Producer portfolio. According to KPI Green Energy Limited, the company maintains a total IPP portfolio of 2.17 GWp, with the remaining capacity under execution and expected to be commissioned in phases in line with scheduled timelines. The company has previously energized an additional 376 MWp across its IPP portfolio, comprising approximately 182 MWp of solar capacity under its GUVNL 250/350 MWp project, and 164 MWp of solar and 30 MWp of wind capacity under the GUVNL 370 MW/677 MWp project. Under a long-term PPA with GUVNL, KPI Green has also commissioned a 92.15 MWp hybrid project, comprising 16.95 MW of wind capacity and 75.2 MWp of solar capacity, which was commissioned ahead of its scheduled July 2026 commercial operation date.
