Kanohar Electricals shares surged 20% to ₹1,131 on Wednesday's intra-day trading after the company reported strong Q1 FY27 financial performance. According to CNBC TV18, the stock has zoomed 79% from its issue price of ₹632 per share, demonstrating exceptional investor confidence in the transformer manufacturer's growth trajectory. The stock opened at ₹1,038.95 on the BSE and touched an intraday high of ₹1,090.50, while shares made a strong debut on September 16, settling nearly 19% above the IPO issue price of ₹632. The results are the first that the company has reported after its listing and were reported after market closing hours on Tuesday.
As reported by CNBC TV18, revenue from operations for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, more than doubled year-on-year to ₹137 crore, compared with ₹67 crore in Q1 FY26. EBITDA surged 152% to ₹38.84 crore, from ₹15 crore a year earlier, while the EBITDA margin expanded to 28.35% from 22.91%. Profit after tax jumped nearly 142% YoY to ₹27.3 crore, with the PAT margin improving to 19.9% from 16.9%. According to latest reports, the company delivered standalone net profit growth of approximately 139.47% YoY to ₹27.3 crore in Q1 FY27, indicating highly supportive demand dynamics in the power transformer segment. Whole-Time Director Abhishek Singhal attributed the improvement in profitability to higher manufacturing volumes and a better product mix, particularly the increased contribution from the 400kV segment, which supported operating leverage.
According to CNBC TV18, Kanohar Electricals secured incremental orders worth around ₹332.3 crore during the quarter, taking its outstanding order book to ₹2,026 crore, executable over the next 18–24 months. This represents an 11% increase from the ₹1,818 crore order book a year ago. The company's recent success includes securing a massive ₹250+ crore central PSU order on September 30, 2026, for the manufacture and supply of 400kV power transformers and associated services, to be fulfilled within a 24-month horizon. Whole-Time Director Abhishek Singhal said the company is focusing on execution of its 400 kV transformer orders and is working towards adding suitable orders in the 765 kV transformer segment, where it has built manufacturing capabilities.
As reported by CNBC TV18, for FY27, Kanohar Electricals is targeting revenue of ₹950 crore with a similar EBITDA margin profile to FY26. The company is investing in brownfield capacity expansion at its Gangol unit, with the biggest medium-term trigger being the Gangol brownfield expansion which should increase execution capacity as the company scales its transformer business. The 765kV transformer segment represents the key potential re-rating trigger, as Kanohar has developed manufacturing capability but meaningful orders are yet to come. Research Analyst Prathamesh Kadival from Bonanza noted that against the FY27 revenue guidance of ₹950 crore, visibility remains comfortable, with the order book of ₹2,026 crore providing strong visibility for the next 18-24 months. The brokerage firm highlighted that overall Q1 validates the growth story, with the fundamental attraction being Kanohar's transition into higher-voltage transformers backed by a ₹2,000 crore order book and capacity expansion.
