Juniper Green Energy has officially secured the Letter of Award (LOA) from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 230 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy Round-the-Clock (FDRE-RTC) power project. The company emerged as the winning bidder in SECI's e-Reverse auction conducted on August 6, 2026 for its 1,000 MW FDRE-RTC tender, positioning itself in India's rapidly growing dispatchable renewable energy sector. The project capacity was secured under SECI's 1,000 MW FDRE-RTC tender, with the project implementation planned in Rajasthan and connection to the National Grid. This substantial capacity addition highlights the company's ability to execute and manage complex hybrid power systems, particularly in the integration of solar, wind, and battery technologies.
The project involves construction, commissioning and operation of the 230 MW FDRE-RTC facility, with power to be supplied to the Inter-State Transmission System in India. The project features a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) term from the commercial operations date, with the scheduled commercial operation date (SCOD) set at 24 months from the effective date of the PPA. The contracted tariff has been set at ₹5.26 per unit for the project. The project will be built using an integrated solar, wind, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) structure to support the grid, with the developer required to meet a minimum of 90% delivered firm round-the-clock power during designated peak hours under strict delivery rules. The formal signing of the 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with SECI, along with financial closure for project configuration and equipment procurement, ensures long-term revenue visibility and stable cash flows.
Prior to this project award, Juniper Green Energy announced the commissioning of approximately 167 MW wind capacity across 5 projects in multiple phases, as reported by Moneycontrol. This commissioning has increased the company's total operational capacity from 2,408 MWp to 2,575 MWp, incorporating 167 MW of newly commissioned wind capacity since July 1, 2026, and 500 MWh of battery storage capacity. The company successfully redeemed ₹600 crore worth of unlisted, unrated, redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on August 14, 2026, demonstrating its strong financial position and ability to manage complex hybrid power systems.
The latest project award further strengthens Juniper Green Energy's FDRE portfolio with an incremental installed capacity of 795 MWp solar capacity, 75 MW wind capacity and 2200 MWh of BESS capacity. The project leverages the company's integrated development capabilities across solar, wind and battery storage technologies to ensure consistent and reliable power delivery.
