JM Financial Private Equity (JMFPE) announced on Thursday that it has led a ₹150 crore investment in NG Electro Products Pvt Ltd, a contract manufacturing platform serving consumer brands across multiple sectors. According to reports from The Economic Times, this significant investment was made through JM Financial India Growth Fund III, which is a sector-agnostic fund with focus on financial services, consumer, manufacturing, technology and other sectors. The investment also received participation from family offices, demonstrating strong institutional backing for the contract manufacturing platform.
The investment will support NG Electro's comprehensive expansion strategy, including expansion of manufacturing capacity, accelerating investment in R&D and product innovation, and further strengthening its quality and compliance infrastructure. As reported by The Economic Times, Piyush Mittal, founder and managing director at NG Electro, stated that this capital will allow the company to accelerate capacity expansion, strengthen its footprint, and further deepen its product innovation capabilities. This multi-faceted approach aims to enhance the company's operational capabilities and market position in the contract manufacturing sector.
NG Electro's product portfolio spans home care (detergents and cleaning solutions), beauty and personal care (skin and hair care formulations), and nutraceutical supplements. According to the company statement, this diversified approach across consumer product categories provides a strong foundation for serving multiple brand partners and retailers in the contract manufacturing space. As reported by The Economic Times, NG Electro Products is a consumer goods-focused contract manufacturing platform serving brands across these key categories.
Vinit Rai, Managing Director of JMFPE, highlighted NG Electro's competitive advantages, stating that the company has built a credible and differentiated platform in consumer product contract manufacturing. As reported by The Economic Times, Rai emphasized that NG Electro combines deep formulation expertise, robust manufacturing infrastructure and long-standing customer relationships across brands and retailers. He noted that as consumer companies increasingly move toward asset-light supply chains, specialized manufacturers like NG Electro are well positioned to capture this strategic shift in the market.
