
Kolkata-based speciality chemicals major Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd delivered robust fourth-quarter results, with net profit rising 29% to ₹201 crore compared with ₹155.6 crore in the same period last year. According to reports from CNBC TV18, the company's revenue increased 13.5% year-on-year to ₹1,287.8 crore from ₹1,134.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. EBITDA rose 3.6% to ₹242 crore against ₹233.3 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, though EBITDA margin stood at 18.8%, compared with 20.6% year-on-year.
The company announced a final dividend of ₹0.80 per equity share of ₹1 each (80% of face value) for the financial year 2025-26, subject to approval of shareholders. As reported by CNBC TV18, the board has also approved the re-appointment of two Independent Directors for a second term of five consecutive years. Girish Paman Vanvari will be re-appointed with effect from June 22, 2026, subject to shareholder approval, while Gopal Ajay Malpani will be re-appointed for a second term, effective August 13, 2026, also subject to shareholder approval.
Shares of Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd ended at ₹537.50, up by ₹14.55, or 2.78%, on the BSE following the results announcement. According to CNBC TV18, the company has also approved a proposal to incorporate a foreign wholly owned step-down subsidiary in Guangzhou, China, subject to necessary regulatory approvals, if required. The strong market response reflects investor confidence in the company's operational performance and strategic expansion plans.
