IT services and solutions provider Hexaware Technologies Ltd announced a partnership with Factory on Thursday (July 16) to bring agent-native software development capabilities to global enterprise clients across professional services, banking and financial services, and other sectors. According to reports from CNBC TV18, the partnership will focus on software development, modernisation, refactoring and migration efforts, with Hexaware also using the platform internally before scaling it to customers. As Hexaware CEO Kush Gupta noted, AI is changing software delivery from a support function into an execution layer within engineering, with Factory helping clients apply software agents to complex delivery work in a controlled way.
Under the partnership, Factory's Droid platform will be integrated into Hexaware's global delivery ecosystem, enabling engineering teams to build, test, modernise and manage software within their existing workflows. The platform, founded in 2023 by Matan Grinberg and Eno Reyes and headquartered in San Francisco, is a 24/7 system that continuously turns signals into production software across the entire lifecycle. It's model-agnostic, deploys anywhere from cloud to fully air-gapped environments, and keeps engineers in control as the governance layer. The partnership will enable Hexaware's delivery teams to deploy and manage Factory Droids in client environments, with the enablement programme covering integration with software development lifecycle (SDLC) toolchains including GitHub, Jira, Azure DevOps and enterprise continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
According to Hexaware, initial engagements are focused on areas where engineering complexity and governance requirements are high. In professional services, the company is applying Droids for legacy modernisation, technical debt reduction and large-scale refactoring initiatives. In banking and financial services, the focus is on application modernisation within regulated environments, with Droid helping update apps while keeping up with strict rules. As reported by CNBC TV18, Hexaware has deployed Factory Droids internally as 'Customer Zero', using the platform within its own engineering environment before offering the capability to clients. Across internal codebases, Hexaware has used Factory's Droids for large-scale refactoring, documentation, code migrations, and repository consistency, which now informs how the company plans to support clients in adopting agent-native development.
David Corrado, Senior Vice President – Strategic Global Clients at Hexaware, stated that the company has seen dramatic gains in adoption over the last three months. According to CNBC TV18, he reported seeing 5x to 10x gains in production-ready output while investing the necessary time in guardrails and governance so these agents can operate with efficiency and safety. The company prioritized training its senior developers, architects, and pod leaders on Factory, who became evangelists and champions across the organization. Kush Gupta, Global Head – Professional Services at Hexaware, emphasized that the partnership brings joint Factory and Hexaware squads to support early deployments and scale-up, with measurement of engineering velocity, quality improvement, and cost efficiency built into the process.
