According to reports from ET Now, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) has scheduled its Board of Directors meeting for Monday, June 29, 2026, to consider and approve the final dividend for the financial year 2025-26. The defence PSU informed the stock exchanges about this development through a regulatory filing on Tuesday, June 16. As reported by ET Now, the company stated that the Board meeting will consider, among other matters, the recommendation of final dividend for FY26. The meeting is scheduled to be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, as confirmed in the exchange filing.
In the same regulatory filing, HAL announced that the trading window for securities will remain closed for all insiders including designated persons, connected persons and their immediate relatives, with immediate effect until 48 hours after the declaration of financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026. According to ET Now, this restriction applies to all insiders as part of the standard regulatory compliance procedures during earnings announcements. The trading window closure ensures proper regulatory compliance during the dividend announcement process.
Earlier in May, HAL reported its Q4FY26 financial performance, posting steady growth in earnings. The defence PSU recorded a 5.51% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit at ₹4,196.04 crore, compared to ₹3,976.63 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations also increased nearly 2% YoY to ₹13,942 crore in the January-March 2026 period, supported by continued execution of defence contracts and consistent demand from the Indian armed forces. However, the company saw pressure on profitability at the operating level, with EBITDA declining 4% YoY to ₹5,058 crore from ₹5,294 crore, while EBITDA margin contracted to 36.3% from 38.6% in the corresponding quarter last year, attributed to higher operational expenses.
As reported by ET Now, shares of the state-run defence PSU are expected to be in focus in the upcoming week as the company prepares to announce its final dividend for FY26. The regulatory filing represents HAL's formal communication to the stock exchanges about the upcoming board meeting and dividend consideration process, setting the stage for potential market reactions following the announcement. HAL shares ended lower in Tuesday's trading session, closing at ₹4,256.45, down 0.66% from the previous close of ₹4,284.90 on the BSE, reflecting market anticipation ahead of the dividend announcement. On a broader basis, the stock has declined 2.97% over the past month and is down 3.17% on a year-to-date basis.
