Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has announced the commissioning of 307.4 MW of renewable energy capacity at Khavda in Gujarat, marking a significant expansion of its clean energy portfolio. According to the company's statement, this latest addition brings AGEL's total operational renewable generation capacity to 17,237.2 MW, further strengthening its position in India's renewable energy sector.
The newly commissioned capacity comprises a diversified mix of renewable technologies including 100 MW of solar power, 176 MW of hybrid renewable energy capacity, and 31.4 MW of wind power. As reported by pv magazine India, this multi-technology approach demonstrates the company's integrated renewable energy strategy at the Khavda site in Gujarat.
According to the company's disclosure, a decision was taken on December 31, 2025, to operationalize the plants based on receipt of relevant regulatory clearances. The projects are scheduled to commence power generation from January 1, 2026, ensuring immediate contribution to the company's renewable energy output in the new year.
The Khavda site represents a cornerstone of Adani Green Energy's expansion strategy, as the company is developing what is positioned to be the world's largest renewable energy plant at this Gujarat location. This latest commissioning forms part of the broader development at Khavda, which continues to add significant renewable capacity to India's clean energy infrastructure.
