
According to reports from Business Standard, Genus Paper & Boards reported a 15.38% decline in standalone net profit to ₹3.52 crore in the quarter ended June 2026, compared to ₹4.16 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company's sales revenue declined by 12.71% to ₹218.72 crore in Q1 FY27, down from ₹250.57 crore recorded in Q1 FY26. However, the company's full-year performance showed strong recovery with net profit rising 80.45% to ₹14.58 crore in FY26 compared to ₹8.08 crore in the previous year, while sales grew 10.70% to ₹939.97 crore from ₹849.15 crore.
As reported by Business Standard, the company's operating profit margin (OPM) compressed to 8.66% in the June 2026 quarter from 8.18% in the same period last year. The profit before depreciation and tax (PBDT) declined by 24% to ₹8.45 crore compared to ₹11.05 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Profit before tax (PBT) also decreased by 15% to ₹3.57 crore from ₹4.22 crore year-on-year. The company's operating and other expenses increased to ₹220.73 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹194.16 crore in the previous year, reflecting higher operational costs.
According to latest financial data, Genus Paper & Boards demonstrated sequential improvement with net profit rising 21.41% to ₹3.80 crore in Q3 FY26 compared to ₹3.13 crore in Q2 FY26. The company's sales showed steady growth of 0.67% to ₹226.09 crore in the December 2025 quarter from ₹224.58 crore in the September 2025 quarter. Operating profit margin improved to 8.41% in Q3 FY26 from 8.02% in the previous quarter, indicating better operational efficiency. The company's EBITDA increased to ₹18.93 crore in Q3 FY26 from ₹17.27 crore in Q2 FY26, while PBT rose to ₹3.82 crore from ₹3.17 crore quarter-on-quarter.
