EMS has emerged as the lowest bidder (L-1) for a significant sewerage infrastructure project awarded by UP Jal Nigam (Urban), Varanasi. According to reports from Business Standard, the contract involves surveying, soil investigation, design, and supply of all materials, labour, tools, and plants required for laying sewer networks and house connections in four wards - Shivpurwa, Tulasipur, Birdopur, and Kajipura. These wards are among the 18 identified problematic wards under Nagar Nigam, Varanasi.
The project carries an order value of ₹102.84 crore and will be executed on a turnkey basis within 24 months. As reported by Business Standard, the project scope includes comprehensive sewerage infrastructure development across the designated wards. EMS is a multidisciplinary EPC company headquartered in Delhi that specializes in providing turnkey services in water and wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal. The company provides complete, single-source services from engineering and design to construction and installation of water, wastewater, and domestic waste treatment facilities.
Despite securing this major project, EMS reported challenging financial results for Q4 FY26. According to Business Standard, the company's consolidated net profit tumbled 88.03% to ₹5.58 crore despite a 55.35% jump in revenue from operations to ₹120.49 crore compared with Q4 FY25. The company's stock performance reflected these mixed results, with the counter declining 1.36% to end at ₹291.05 on the BSE.
