Empower India Limited's shares hit the 5% upper circuit at ₹1.93 apiece during Monday's trading session on September 7, 2026, according to reports from LiveMint. The penny stock, which trades below ₹10, surged to this level after the company highlighted its strategic expansion into sustainable digital infrastructure solutions. The company is positioned to capitalize on the significant opportunity arising from India's rapidly growing AI computing ecosystem and the substantial infrastructure requirements this technological shift creates.
The Government of India's ₹10,372 crore IndiaAI Mission, announced in 2024, is actively accelerating the development of the country's artificial intelligence ecosystem through robust investments in computing capacity, data infrastructure, and AI applications, as reported by LiveMint. With over 38,000 GPUs already onboarded and government plans announced to add 20,000 GPUs, India is currently undergoing a massive expansion of its AI computing infrastructure. This mission, together with the planned expansion of national GPU capacity, is expected to stimulate widespread investment across the broader AI infrastructure ecosystem.
India's data centre capacity is projected to increase nearly fourfold from approximately 1.6 GW in 2026 to around 6 GW by 2029, according to LiveMint reports. This rapid scale-up of AI computing creates primary catalysts for growing demand for modern data centres, high-performance computing, power infrastructure, and energy-efficient cooling solutions. Every increase in computing capacity creates corresponding requirements for data centre space, power, cooling, connectivity, and energy management, significantly increasing demand for scalable, energy-efficient, and sustainable digital infrastructure across India. The exponential leap from 1.6 GW to 6 GW is fundamentally driven by the convergence of AI deployment, cloud computing migration, and widespread nationwide digitization.
Empower India expects to benefit from the technological shift through incremental demand for energy-efficient data centres, high-performance computing infrastructure, advanced cooling systems, and highly reliable power infrastructure, as stated in the company's regulatory filing reported by LiveMint. The company anticipates growing market demand for energy-efficient data centre infrastructure capable of handling modern workloads, power optimization and reliable power systems for continuous uptime, advanced cooling and thermal-management solutions for heat-intensive hardware, and sustainable infrastructure for high-density computing that aligns with green energy goals. Empower India reported a nearly 41% jump in revenue to ₹37.38 crore for the June quarter of FY26, with net profit surging multi-fold to ₹1.49 crore in the quarter, as reported by Moneycontrol. The company's FY26 consolidated revenue from operations reached ₹153.37 crore (up 24% YoY) with net profit of ₹18.01 crore (up 245% YoY) and EPS of ₹0.155.
The overall AI infrastructure space is projected to reach around ₹30T by 2030 from the present ₹10T, with approximately ₹10T dedicated solely to core data center infrastructure. Out of this ₹10T, electrical systems (power optimization, backup, switchgear) and advanced thermal engineering (liquid cooling) historically account for 25% to 35% of the capital layout. This opens up an addressable market of approximately ₹3T for component suppliers like Empower India, compared to the present addressable market size of around ₹1T. The company's strategic pivot toward sustainable digital infrastructure aims to capture higher-value, recurring demand created by AI workloads that require denser compute, reliable power, and efficient cooling. With consolidated revenue from operations of approximately ₹153.4 crore in FY26 and modest debt relative to equity, Empower India may be positioned for significant growth as India's AI infrastructure build-out creates sustained demand for energy-efficient power, cooling, and digital infrastructure solutions.
