
EMA Partners India has completed the acquisition of recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) company Taggd for ₹113 crore in cash. According to reports from Business Standard, the deal brings together two complementary talent businesses to create one of the country's largest integrated talent recruitment companies. The acquisition combines executive search and recruitment process outsourcing capabilities to offer solutions spanning executive search, professional search and AI-powered RPO at scale. Despite the acquisition, Taggd will continue to operate independently while retaining its leadership team, client relationships and operational structure.
For EMA Partners India, the acquisition helps expand its business verticals, while for Taggd, it advances its 2030 vision to fulfil one million jobs and expands access to EMA Partners' global market presence. As reported by Business Standard, K Sudarshan, chairman and managing director of EMA Partners India, stated that the combined track record will broaden client services and accelerate platform growth. The company plans to continue investing in and deploying cutting-edge recruitment technology and AI tools to build efficiencies.
The acquisition reflects the growing demand for integrated talent partners that combine scale, intelligence, technology and accountability across the hiring lifecycle. According to Business Standard, Pankaj Bansal, co-founder of Taggd and Caret Capital, along with Devashish Sharma, co-founder and CEO of Taggd, noted that the partnership gives them the opportunity to extend reach by leveraging EMA's presence in other global markets. The deal positions the combined entity as a comprehensive talent recruitment platform with enhanced capabilities across multiple service areas, combining EMA's executive and professional search expertise with Taggd's AI-powered enterprise recruitment capabilities.
