Dilip Buildcon reported a 63.67% decline in consolidated net profit to ₹62.05 crore for the quarter ended March 31, compared to ₹170.83 crore in the same period last year. According to reports from Business Standard, the sharp decline was primarily attributed to weaker revenue performance and margin pressure during the quarter. Profit before tax also fell 56.29% to ₹153.08 crore compared to ₹350.23 crore in Q4 FY25, indicating the broad-based nature of the profitability decline. The latest financial data confirms the significant impact on the company's bottom line performance.
Revenue from operations fell 25.71% year-on-year to ₹2,299.80 crore from ₹3,096.1 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. As reported by Business Standard, the EPC segment revenue declined 42.85% to ₹1,444.26 crore compared to ₹2,527.14 crore in Q4 FY25, reflecting challenging conditions in the construction sector. However, the Annuity Projects & Others segment showed strong growth of 50.36% YoY, reaching ₹855.53 crore in Q4 FY26, demonstrating the company's diversification strategy and providing some offset to the overall revenue decline.
EBITDA (excluding other income) declined 40.70% to ₹392 crore during the quarter, compared with ₹661 crore in Q4 FY25. According to Business Standard, EBITDA margin compressed to 17.04% from 21.35% a year earlier, indicating increased cost pressures. The company attributed these margin impacts to elevated input costs and lower asset utilization during the quarter, with management noting these pressures are temporary in nature. The margin compression was a key factor in the significant decline in current quarter performance.
Despite the challenging quarter, Dilip Buildcon achieved significant milestones in its order book and financial position. As reported by Business Standard, the company's order book touched an all-time high of ₹28,830 crore as of March 31, 2026, providing strong revenue visibility for the coming years. The consolidated net debt stood at ₹7,244 crore as of March 31, 2026, with management emphasizing that the debt profile remains largely asset-backed and project-linked. The board of directors has recommended a final dividend of Re 1 per equity share (10%) for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, subject to shareholders' approval at the ensuing Annual General Meeting. The company plans to continue focusing on reducing debt and aims to become nearly net debt-free over the medium term.
Chairman and Managing Director Dilip Suryavanshi highlighted the company's strategic transition through DBL 2.0, which aims to create a portfolio where substantial profitability is driven by contracted assets with 25-50 year lifespans. CEO Devendra Jain noted that Q4 FY26 performance remained in line with expectations amid slower industry-wide order awarding activity, with margins impacted by elevated input costs and lower asset utilization. The company plans to strengthen its mining business as a key cash-flow driver while building recurring income streams through selective expansion of PPP assets and InvIT portfolio, maintaining capital expenditure discipline as a priority. Management emphasized that the strategic transition through DBL 2.0 was conceptualized well before current geopolitical concerns and aims to build a more balanced infrastructure model where long-duration contracted assets complement the EPC business.
