Diamond Power Infrastructure has secured a significant contract worth ₹52.86 crore from Aurionpro Solutions for supplying high-tension and low-tension electrical cables for a hyperscale data centre campus in Hyderabad. According to Business Standard, the order involves the supply of approximately 130 kilometres of cables, with more than 116 kilometres comprising 1,100 V grade, XLPE-insulated, FRLS-sheathed 1C x 300 sq mm copper conductor cables that will serve as backbone distribution cables for high-density server halls. The remaining scope includes 33 kV (E) grade aluminium XLPE armoured FRLS cables, 1.1 kV aluminium armoured LT power cables and copper control cables, all manufactured in accordance with the client's IEC 61914 cleat and fire-performance specifications.
Diamond Power Infrastructure has successfully commissioned a dedicated copper wire drawing and copper cable manufacturing line at its integrated manufacturing complex at Village Vadadala, Phase-II, Savli, District Vadodara, Gujarat. According to reports from Business Standard, commercial production at the said line commenced with effect from 20 August 2026. This marks the company's entry into higher-realisation copper products after its aluminium-focused manufacturing history.
The newly commissioned line has an installed capacity of 1,500 MT per month of copper cables. As reported by Business Standard, the line is designed for cables used in applications with high power intensity and high current-carrying requirements, including data centres, power plants and industrial installations. The in-house line allows the company to expand into higher-realisation copper products without substantial incremental investment.
Diamond Power Infrastructure reported robust financial results for Q1 FY27, with consolidated net profit rising 256.19% to ₹58.45 crore in the quarter ended June 2026 from ₹16.41 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. According to Business Standard, sales increased 128.57% to ₹689.88 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹301.82 crore in Q1 FY26. The company clarified that the Aurionpro Solutions transaction does not constitute a related-party transaction, with neither the promoters nor promoter group companies having any interest in the work contract.
Despite the strong order win and positive financial results, the company's stock declined 1.10% to ₹352.20 on the BSE, as reported by Business Standard. Diamond Power Infrastructure is engaged in the manufacturing of power cables and conductors, offering a wide product range from 1.1 kV to 400 kV, with clientele including utilities, EPC contractors, renewable energy developers, and industrial customers.
