
Data Patterns (India) Ltd has issued a regulatory corrigendum to correct its major contract with the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), revising the order value upward from ₹279 crore to ₹288 crore while reducing the quantity from 34 to 32 units of Doppler Weather Radars. The company attributed the revision to an inadvertent error in the earlier communication and confirmed the order maintains arm's length dealing with no related party involvement. The contract involves the supply of 32 units of Doppler weather radars to the IMD, a government entity responsible for weather forecasting and monitoring across India, with the execution timeline remaining as per the contract terms.
The company delivered robust financial results for Q3 FY26, with total revenue increasing by 39% to ₹179 crore compared to ₹128 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2024. As reported by Upstox, revenue from operations increased by 48% in the corresponding period. Gross margin remained healthy at 77% in the quarter ended December 31, 2025, while EBITDA increased by 44% from ₹54 crore in Q3 FY 2024-25 to ₹78 crore in Q3 FY 2025-26. EBITDA margin was 45% for the quarter, and Profit After Tax (PAT) increased by 31% from ₹45 crore to ₹58 crore.
Data Patterns has submitted its Q3FY26 monitoring agency report showing compliant utilization of QIP proceeds totaling ₹487.734 crore. As per the report prepared by ICRA Limited as the appointed monitoring agency, the company has deployed ₹445.891 crore across designated objectives including working capital, product development, debt repayment, and facility setup. The remaining ₹41.843 crore has been invested in fixed deposits earning competitive returns, with total earnings of ₹1.390 crore bringing the market value to ₹43.700 crore. The QIP issue was conducted from March 08, 2023, to March 14, 2023, with a total issue size of ₹500.00 crore, targeting the defence product sector.
Despite the positive business developments, shares of Data Patterns (India) were trading nearly 2.5% lower at ₹3,137.20 on the NSE at the time of reporting. According to Upstox, the company's stock performance reflects market dynamics separate from the contract announcement. The company's PAT margin for Q3 FY 2025-26 was 34%, with management noting that gross margins remained strong reflecting the high-value nature of their product portfolio.
