Cyient Limited announced a significant leadership reshuffle on Wednesday, naming Prabhakar Atla as Chief Operating Officer and Shrinivas Kulkarni as Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1, 2026. According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, Atla, who currently serves as CFO, moves laterally into the COO role after more than two decades with the company. In his new position, he will oversee delivery operations, talent development, and client experience. Kulkarni, who most recently held the CFO post at Cyient's subsidiary Cyient DLM, steps up to lead the parent company's global finance function, covering financial strategy, investor relations, and business finance.
Cyient shares on NSE were trading at ₹878.50 as of 12:02 PM on Wednesday, down ₹21.00 or 2.33% from the previous close of ₹899.50. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, the stock touched an intraday high of ₹907.50 before sliding to a low of ₹877.50. CEO Sukamal Banerjee framed both appointments as internal promotions anchored in institutional knowledge, signalling continuity rather than an outside hire strategy.
The leadership reshuffle comes as Cyient pursues what it describes as an AI-led growth strategy under its 'Embracing Intelligence' operating framework. According to The Hindu BusinessLine, the company serves over 300 global customers and counts itself among engineering services providers to 30% of the world's top 100 innovators. Cyient was founded in 1991 and is headquartered in Madhapur, Hyderabad, with the new leadership structure taking effect at the start of the next financial year quarter on April 1.
