
Cummins India delivered robust financial results for Q4FY26, with net profit surging 25% to ₹650.12 crore compared to ₹521.37 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. According to latest reports from Business Standard, the engine and power solutions maker's total income rose 21.5% year-on-year to ₹3,242.70 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2026. The company's profit before exceptional items and tax stood at ₹820.15 crore in Q4 FY26, compared with ₹680.69 crore in Q4 FY25. However, the company reported an exceptional loss of ₹32.34 crore during the quarter due to the impact of labour codes. The company's EBITDA increased 22.3% to ₹641 crore against ₹524 crore in the year-ago period, with EBITDA margin expanding marginally to 21.3% from 21.2% year-on-year.
The board recommended a final dividend of ₹46 per share for FY26, representing a 2,300% payout on the company's 27.72 crore fully paid-up equity shares with face value of ₹2 each. As reported by Business Standard, this final dividend is in addition to the interim dividend of ₹20 per share declared on February 4, 2026. The company has set the record date for dividend eligibility as July 17, 2026, with eligible shareholders to receive payments on or before September 4, 2026, subject to member approval at the Annual General Meeting. According to the company's exchange filing, the final dividend will be paid to eligible members on or before September 4, 2026, if approved by members at the ensuing Annual General Meeting.
According to Business Standard, domestic sales stood at ₹2,513 crore, higher by 30% compared with the same quarter last year and moderated by 1% over the previous quarter. Export sales came in at ₹450 crore, down 6% year-on-year and 5% sequentially. The company's total expenses jumped 21.85% YoY to ₹2,422.55 crore during the quarter, with cost of materials consumed at ₹1,707.48 crore (up 19.16% YoY) and employee benefit expenses at ₹196.35 crore (up 17.72% YoY). On a full-year basis, the company's standalone net profit jumped 22.27% to ₹2,330.18 crore on a 17.31% increase in total income to ₹12,863.69 crore in FY26 over FY25.
Commenting on the quarterly results, Shveta Arya, Managing Director, Cummins India Limited, stated that the company has concluded FY26 with record revenue and profitability. While the export environment faces some near-term pressures, the company is hopeful about improved stability and growth in the medium to long term. The company noted that geopolitical developments are closely monitored, and stronger collaboration with trade partners is expected to maintain supply chain resilience.
