According to reports from Business Standard, Concor's Q4FY26 results missed consensus estimates with revenue standing at ₹2,263.30 crore, down 1% year-on-year. Net profit fell 12.4% Y-o-Y to ₹262.65 crore. The blended EBITDA margin was 18.6% for the quarter. EXIM revenue remained flat at ₹1,502.27 crore while domestic revenue was ₹761.03 crore, down 4% Y-o-Y. Bloomberg data shows the stock is currently trading at a price-to-earnings ratio of 28.87 times, well below its five-year average multiple of 45 times.
As reported by Business Standard, total volumes grew 6% Y-o-Y to 1.4 million Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) in Q4FY26. EXIM volumes reached 1.07 million TEUs, up 2% Y-o-Y, while domestic volumes were 0.36 million TEUs, up 19% Y-o-Y. However, blended realisation declined 7% Y-o-Y to ₹15,803/TEU, with EXIM realisation at ₹14,015/TEU (down 2% Y-o-Y) and domestic realisation at ₹21,112/TEU (down 19% Y-o-Y). Bloomberg data shows that Exim contributed 66% to the consolidated revenue from operations, while the rest came from domestic business.
According to Business Standard, in FY26, Concor's market share declined to 53.9% in EXIM (from 55.2% in FY25) and 55.9% in domestic (versus 57.6% in FY25). Overall market share stood at 54.5%. The decline is attributed to the company's strategy of avoiding low-margin business, which is reducing market share while growth is affected by high competitive intensity. The Iran war specifically impacted volumes and margins in Q4FY26 and Q1FY27. Avendus Spark Research highlighted that Concor's FY27 guidance of 8% Exim growth and 15% domestic growth will be tough to achieve amid intense competition.
As reported by JM Financial Institutional Securities, the commissioning of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) connection to Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), expected in June, is positioned as a key near-term trigger for the market. Nuvama Institutional Equities expects the rail coefficient to rise from around 15% currently to 18-19% in FY27 and 30-35% over the next three years. JM Financial notes that diesel prices have climbed nearly 8% since mid-May, which is expected to push up truck freight rates and make road transportation costlier. The project is expected to improve transit times and enable greater use of double-stack efficiencies, boosting rail's competitiveness against road transport.
According to Bloomberg data, 13 brokerages have a 'buy' recommendation on Concor, while 2 have a 'hold' and 5 said 'sell'. JM Financial maintains an 'add' rating with a target price of ₹500, stating the current share price below does not fully factor in the benefits of a modal shift from road to rail. Nuvama Institutional Equities upgraded its rating to 'buy' from 'hold' following the sharp price correction, but trimmed its target price to ₹570 from ₹600. However, Avendus Spark Research kept a 'reduce' rating with a ₹470 target, arguing that the corridor link may not materially improve rail market share. The stock has lost over 12% since early May, with analysts cutting estimates for FY27 and FY28, assuming lower volume growth and weaker realisation as competition intensifies.
