State Bank of India has awarded a ₹1,000 crore, 10-year cash outsourcing contract to CMS Info Systems Limited (CMS), marking the first such direct large PSU bank cash outsourcing contract. Under the agreement, CMS will manage 5,000 bank-owned ATMs across the country with comprehensive end-to-end managed services. The scope includes improving cash efficiency, ensuring higher ATM uptime, and delivering a more reliable self-service banking experience to millions of SBI customers.
The landmark contract is expected to deliver incremental revenue growth of ₹500 crore for CMS over its tenure, as stated by Anush Raghavan, Chief Business Officer at CMS Info Systems. The contract implementation is scheduled to go live in January 2026, providing long-term revenue visibility and operational stability for the ATM services provider. CMS specializes in logistics, technology solutions and managed services to banking and financial technology players.
According to CMS leadership, India's ATM ecosystem faced significant disruption in 2025, and CMS played an active role in stabilising ATM operations for several banks during that period. Raghavan emphasized that the long-term nature of the SBI contract will bring operational stability and enable consistent, high-quality ATM services to customers nationwide. The win highlights a growing preference among banks for integrated outsourcing solutions that combine cash logistics, technology platforms and operational management under a single partner.
This contract award further strengthens the long-standing relationship between CMS and SBI, built over years through the execution of large and complex projects. The collaboration includes multi-vendor software solution (ALGO MVS™), vision AI solution HAWKAI™, and comprehensive managed services for ATMs. The integrated approach demonstrates SBI's confidence in CMS's comprehensive service capabilities across multiple technology platforms and marks a clear preference for integrated solutions in bank outsourcing.
