Campus Activewear Ltd. delivered robust financial results for the September quarter, with net profit rising 21.3% year-on-year to ₹24.3 crore compared to ₹20.1 crore in the same period last year. According to an exchange filing on November 5, revenue from operations increased 16.9% to ₹452 crore versus ₹387 crore in the previous year. The company's EBITDA grew 13.9% to ₹56.8 crore compared to ₹49.9 crore, though the EBITDA margin compressed slightly to 12.6% from 12.9% in the previous year. Latest reports show total income reached ₹437.21 crore for Q2 FY27, with profit before tax at ₹33 crore and basic earnings per share of ₹0.79.
The company's strong performance was driven by double-digit volume growth and higher average selling prices, supported by continued demand for its women's and kids' footwear portfolio. As reported by the exchange filing, women's and kids' footwear recorded around 29% year-on-year growth, with these categories contributing 23% to overall volumes in the first half of FY27. Campus Activewear also expanded its portfolio by entering the performance footwear category with the launch of court shoes during the September quarter, addressing changing consumer preferences and new market segments.
According to CEO Nikhil Aggarwal, product innovation and portfolio expansion remained central to the company's strategy across consumer segments. The company launched more than 160 new stock-keeping units in the first half of FY27 to address changing consumer preferences and support the premiumisation trend. Aggarwal emphasised that the company continued to focus on profitable growth through calibrated pricing actions, prudent sourcing, productivity improvements and a focus on product mix amid a challenging macroeconomic environment.
Despite a shift in the festive season to the December quarter this year, Campus Activewear reported double-digit volume growth in the first half of FY27. The company said it would continue to focus on innovation, agility and a consumer-first approach as it enters the festive season, maintaining its strategy of driving profitable growth through disciplined execution while managing cost pressures effectively. Future financial disclosures will provide further insight into changes in profitability and business performance as the company navigates market challenges.
