Bosch Ltd. shares surged 5% to hit a new high of ₹50,470.05 on Tuesday, surpassing its previous high of ₹49,629.50 touched on September 1, 2026, following the company's announcement of its bonus issue and stock split plans. According to Business Standard, the stock has zoomed 76% since April 2026 from a level of ₹28,650.05 on March 30, 2026. The auto components manufacturer is set to undertake significant corporate actions on Saturday, November 6, with its board meeting scheduled to consider a bonus issue of shares along with a stock split. This will be the first instance in 22 years that the board will be considering a stock split, with the company last carrying out a stock split in July 2004 when it split one share with a face value of ₹100 into ten shares of face value ₹10 each. Additionally, this will mark the first time in the company's trading history that shareholders will receive bonus shares, as Bosch has never issued bonus shares to its shareholders before.
Analysts at ICICI Securities expect Bosch's Q2 revenue to grow 50% year-on-year, driven by the consolidation of the RBIC acquisition worth ₹1,250 crore for Q2, healthy growth outperformance in the automotive segment, and recovery in the non-mobility segment. The brokerage firm expects the earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) margin to improve 190 basis points year-on-year on a richer mix owing to consolidation of the higher margin RBIC acquisition and higher operating leverage, partially offset by inflationary pressures. The board meeting scheduled for November 6, 2026, will also consider and approve the un-audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half year ending September 30, 2026.
The auto components manufacturer has demonstrated consistent financial performance with regular paid annual dividends to shareholders every year starting 2008. As reported by CNBC TV18, over this 18-year period, Bosch has paid dividends worth nearly ₹3,000 per share to its shareholders. The company has also maintained an active share buyback program, conducting two share buybacks over the last two decades. In 2016, Bosch carried out a buyback worth ₹202 crore, repurchasing nearly 9 lakh equity shares at ₹23,000 per share via the tender offer route, followed by another buyback in February 2019 where the company purchased over 10 lakh equity shares at ₹21,000 each, taking the total buyback size to ₹2,156 crore.
According to CNBC TV18 reports, at the end of the September quarter, promoters of Bosch held a 71% stake in the company, while public shareholders held the remaining 29%. Mutual Funds own 7.26% stake in the company, while Insurance Companies like GIC and New India Assurance hold 2.81% and 1.71% respectively. Close to 60,000 small retail shareholders with authorized share capital of up to ₹2 lakh collectively hold a 5% stake in the company. The stock was trading at ₹49,790 at 11:32 AM, showing a 4% gain compared to a 1% rise in the BSE Sensex, as reported by Business Standard.
