
Bosch Limited and Tata AutoComp Systems Limited (TACO) have announced an equal-share joint venture to engineer, manufacture, and sell eAxle systems and electric motors in India. According to reports from The Hindu BusinessLine, the JV will be registered in Pune and aims to begin operations by mid-2026, subject to regulatory approvals. The boards of both Bosch, Bosch Limited, and Tata AutoComp have already approved the transaction. Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of the Bosch Group in India and Managing Director of Bosch Limited, stated that the joint venture is designed to accelerate the adoption of e-mobility technologies by delivering efficient, state-of-the-art solutions. Sandeep Nelamangala, Joint Managing Director of Bosch Limited and President of Mobility solutions India, noted that the venture will provide customers with cutting-edge global solutions produced locally in India.
Bosch Limited shares on the NSE fell 3.36 per cent to ₹29,370 on Monday, against a previous close of ₹30,390 in the afternoon. As reported by The Hindu BusinessLine, the announcement follows Bosch Limited's earlier exchange filing dated March 18, 2026, which had first disclosed the JV agreement. Bosch Limited reported revenue from operations of ₹18,087 crore in FY2024-25 and net revenue of ₹373,457 million INR (approximately 4.13 billion euros) in fiscal year 2024-25, with 38,655 associates employed across the organization.
Guruprasad Mudlapur, Managing Director of Bosch Limited, stated that Battery Electric technology is the definitive path to achieving low emissions in passenger cars and select commercial vehicle segments, and the JV is designed to accelerate adoption of these technologies. According to The Hindu BusinessLine, Sandeep Nelamangala, Joint Managing Director of Bosch Limited, noted that the mobility market is undergoing a transformation, with e-mobility being a strategic and rapidly evolving field. Arvind Goel, Vice Chairman of Tata AutoComp, emphasized that India's mobility ecosystem is rapidly transforming due to electrification and the need for scalable technology solutions. The partnership brings together complementary strengths in engineering, technology, and manufacturing to develop advanced e-mobility solutions for the Indian market.
Karsten Müller, Executive Vice President at Robert Bosch GmbH, noted that India is the world's third largest automotive market, and the partnership with TACO further cements Bosch's presence in e-mobility. Bosch has invested over 6 billion euros globally in e-mobility, as reported by The Hindu BusinessLine. The partnership allows Bosch to introduce advanced eAxle systems and electric motor solutions to India's growing e-mobility market, enabling the delivery of global solutions locally in India.
