According to reports from Reuters, Boeing delivered 53 commercial jets in July 2026, representing a 17% decline from the 64 aircraft handed over in June. However, the July deliveries were five aircraft higher than the 48 jets delivered in July of the previous year. The US planemaker continued to trail European rival Airbus, which delivered 67 aircraft in July, maintaining its lead in monthly deliveries.
As reported by Reuters, Boeing's July deliveries included 39 of its best-selling 737 MAX jets, 10 787s, one 777 freighter and three 767s. Through July 2026, the company has delivered 367 jets, including 279 737 MAX aircraft and 50 787s. The July deliveries were primarily driven by the 737 MAX family, which continues to be Boeing's most popular aircraft model.
According to Reuters, Boeing booked 30 net new orders in July, including 18 737 MAX and 19 787 jets. The company also booked 38 new orders in July, while eight cancellations resulted in the net gain. Most of the commitments were announced during the Farnborough Airshow in July, with the biggest order announcement being 100 737 MAX jets from Irish aircraft lessor SMBC Aviation. Separately, Boeing said it had booked more than 130 orders for the 737-10, the largest variant in the MAX family, through July.
As reported by Reuters, the July delivery decline comes despite Boeing's year-to-date deliveries remaining ahead of last year's pace. The company is continuing to build its order book through new commitments for its 737 MAX and 787 families, even as Airbus maintained its lead in monthly deliveries. The sustained order activity for the 737-10 variant demonstrates strong market demand for Boeing's largest MAX family aircraft.
