BEML has received an order from NHSRCL for the supply and maintenance of high-speed rolling stock and allied works for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) Corridor, as reported by CNBC TV18. The contract is valued at ₹5,400 crore and represents a major business development for the company, with BEML set to supply rolling stock for India's first high-speed rail corridor. According to BEML's regulatory filing, the order covers the supply and maintenance of high-speed rolling stock and allied works for the MAHSR corridor, and the company stated that the order was received in the normal course of business.
BEML Chairman and Managing Director Shantanu Roy told CNBC-TV18 last month that the company was expecting a stronger performance in the current fiscal and projected around 30% revenue growth for the year. On the order front, BEML is targeting around ₹20,000 crore in order inflows this fiscal, subject to the finalisation of key tenders, Roy said. He added that the company has order prospects worth over ₹40,000 crore across rail and metro, while additional opportunities are building up in mining, defence, construction and exports. This positions the company for significant growth across multiple sectors beyond its core rail and metro business.
BEML has secured multiple significant orders in recent months, demonstrating strong business momentum across different sectors. Earlier this month, the company secured an additional order worth ₹180.6 crore from Integral Coach Factory for the manufacture and supply of Vande Bharat (sleeper) trainsets. On August 14, BEML won an order worth $6.65 million from Mauritius to supply BE220G Hydraulic Excavators for deployment across African markets, with execution planned in phases. Additionally, on August 11, the company secured an order worth ₹184.25 crore from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) for the manufacture and supply of light combat helicopter (LCH) fuselage aerostructures.
