On Thursday, the positive sentiment across chemical and specialty chemical stocks supported buying interest in the broader markets, with the Nifty 50 index rising 0.82% to 23,604.30.
In the March quarter (Q4FY26), Balaji Amines delivered exceptional financial results with consolidated profit attributable to owners surging 58% year-on-year to ₹632 crore, compared to ₹400.6 crore in the corresponding period last year. As reported by Business Standard, the company's revenue from operations stood at ₹3,947.8 crore, representing a 12% increase from ₹3,527.2 crore year-on-year. The company's profit before tax reached ₹8,586 crore during the quarter compared to ₹5,394 crore in the previous year, while earnings per share for the quarter stood at ₹19.99 compared to ₹12.36 reported in the year-ago quarter. The company's total income for the quarter reached ₹4,025.2 crore, compared to ₹3,607.5 crore in the previous year, while total expenses were ₹3,166.6 crore versus ₹3,068.2 crore year-on-year.
The board of directors recommended a final dividend of ₹11 per equity share, representing 550% on the face value of ₹2 per share. According to Business Standard, this dividend will be payable after it is approved by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of the company. The substantial dividend declaration reflects the company's strong cash generation capabilities and commitment to returning value to shareholders.
The Amines & Specialty Chemicals segment continued to remain the key revenue contributor, generating ₹39,353 crore during Q4FY26, while the Hotel Division contributed ₹838 crore during the quarter. As reported by Business Standard, the company's consolidated total assets increased to ₹2,74,254 crore as of March 31, 2026 compared to ₹2,25,206 crore reported in the previous financial year. Capital work-in-progress also increased significantly to ₹51,203 crore, indicating ongoing expansion activities. The company stated that the consolidated financial results include the performance of subsidiary Balaji Speciality Chemicals Limited.
For the financial year ended March 31, 2026, Balaji Amines reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹1,425 crore as against ₹1,397 crore reported in FY25, registering a growth of around 2% YoY. As reported by Business Standard, consolidated profit attributable to owners stood at ₹167 crore in FY26 compared to ₹158 crore reported in the previous financial year, reflecting a growth of around 6% YoY. The company operates as a specialty chemical company engaged in manufacturing aliphatic amines, derivatives, specialty chemicals and related products used across pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, water treatment, rubber chemicals and other industrial applications, while also operating a hotel business segment through its subsidiary operations.
