According to the financial data reported by Business Standard, the company's operating profit margin (OPM) improved to -0.84% in Q1 FY27 from -46.03% in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Additionally, PBDT (Profit Before Depreciation and Tax) decreased by 32% to ₹2.72 crore from ₹4.00 crore year-on-year, while PBT (Profit Before Tax) improved by 28% to ₹3.13 crore from ₹4.35 crore in the previous year's quarter.
In a significant development, Athena Infonomics has appointed Nakul Jain as Chief Executive Officer of APLYD, marking the next chapter in the company's sixteen-year journey of working with governments. Jain co-founded APLYD and also joins Athena Infonomics as a Partner, bringing fifteen years of experience building digital systems and AI for the public sector. He was previously CEO and Managing Director of Wadhwani AI Global, where he led the organisation's expansion across Latin America and Africa, and oversaw more than 25 AI deployments across India as Vice President of Products & Solutions for Wadhwani AI India.
