Amrutanjan Health Care has announced plans to establish 100,000 direct chemist outlets in the current fiscal year to boost growth, following strong performance in pain management and women's hygiene categories in FY26. According to the company's annual report, Chairman and Managing Director S Sambhu Prasad stated that this stated goal will be achieved in FY27, with the company wishing to further increase overall reach and availability of its brands beyond traditional strong markets in the south and east. The company successfully added 44,000 new chemist outlets during FY26 and continues to widen distribution in new markets while deepening penetration in existing strongholds.
The company demonstrated robust financial growth in FY26, with revenue from operations increasing 11.23% to ₹502.55 crore and net profit growing nearly 14% to ₹57.92 crore. As reported by Moneycontrol, the company currently employs over 650 people and has been advancing growth priorities through distribution, brand-building, portfolio expansion and people capabilities. The company deepened penetration in core markets through rural distribution and low-price packs, while investing in low-contribution markets and expanding Comfy into the women's wellness market.
In FY26, pain management and women's hygiene categories were the primary growth drivers, led by Amrutanjan and Comfy brands respectively. According to the annual report, the overall pain-management category recorded 10% gross sales growth in FY26, with headache and body-ache categories growing 8% and 16% respectively. The company's Comfy brand, which was launched in 2013, occupies the 4th position nationally in the mass pad segment in the hygiene space. As part of its brand strategy, the company also plans to relaunch its congestion-relief brand, Relief, during the current year.
The company has made significant progress in digitization and e-commerce capabilities. As reported by Moneycontrol, 70% of critical processes are automated, with plans to make this close to 100%. The company successfully launched Amrutanjan on both Amazon USA and Amazon India, demonstrating increasing capability in digital commerce. The company remains confident about the demand environment in FY27, supported by differentiated value propositions across its portfolio and its focus on digitization initiatives.
