Accuracy Shipping announced that A.R.S. Terminals (India), a subsidiary in which the company holds a 99.80% stake, has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) dated 10 September 2026 from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) for establishing a Container Freight Station (CFS) at Kandla, Gujarat. According to reports from Business Standard, the proposed facility is located at Plot No. 7, Sector 10B, Kandla, Gandhidham, Kachchh - 370201, Gujarat. The CFS is expected to be operational within one year from the date of the LoI. The facility will cater to the handling of import and export cargo and is expected to strengthen the company's ability to cater to growing cargo handling requirements in the region.
The project represents a significant strategic move following Accuracy Shipping's re-acquisition of A.R.S. Terminals in March 2026 for ₹4.99 crore through a share subscription, as reported by Business Standard. This acquisition marked a complete turnaround from the subsidiary's previous divestment in March 2023 when it generated zero revenue. The parent entity, Accuracy Shipping, reported a turnaround in FY25 with consolidated operations generating ₹946.1 crore in revenues, representing a 33% year-on-year increase. Following the promoter consolidation buyback in March 2026, the unit has been transformed into an infrastructure development hub with an intended ₹25 crore asset layout. The CBIC Letter of Intent marks a regulatory milestone for A.R.S. Terminals, establishing port-adjacent warehousing capabilities to enhance Custom House Agent (CHA) and multimodal cargo clearance operations at Kandla.
The facility will have a planned storage capacity of approximately 5,000 containers per month and 80,000 containers annually, as reported by Business Standard. The project involves an estimated capital expenditure of approximately ₹25 crore, which is proposed to be funded through a combination of debt and internal accruals. At peak operations and full utilization, the CFS is expected to generate revenue of approximately ₹175-200 crore. The EBITDA margin is expected to grow to double-digit levels as operations scale up and operating leverage improves. The facility will feature a planned storage capacity of approximately 5,000 containers per month, translating to 80,000 containers annually. The project is aimed at achieving high asset-turnover ratios, targeting ₹175 crore to ₹200 crore in projected revenues against the ₹25 crore infrastructure layout.
In March 2026, Accuracy Shipping had initiated a broader consolidation strategy, acquiring a 99.80% stake in A.R.S. Terminals for ₹4.99 crore and a 52% stake in A.R.S. Liners for ₹6.51 crore, bringing various logistics operations under the listed parent company, as reported by Business Standard. The facility is expected to serve as a key node in the company's freight and customs handling operations, supporting sustainable long-term value creation. The proposed CFS marks a strategic expansion of Accuracy Shipping's presence in the container logistics and cargo handling segment. Vinay Tripathi, Chairman and Managing Director, stated that the expansion strengthens integrated logistics capabilities and enables service to a wider customer base.
