
3M India announced its highest dividend since 2024 with a final dividend of ₹506 per equity share for fiscal 2026, including a special dividend of ₹346 per share. According to exchange filings, the company will distribute nearly ₹570 crore to shareholders, representing the lowest dividend since 2023. The record date for entitlement has been set as July 17, with the dividend subject to approval at the annual general meeting and payment within 30 days of declaration.
The dividend announcement follows exceptional Q4 results, with 3M India posting a three-fold jump in profit to ₹215 crore in the fourth quarter, compared to ₹71.4 crore in the previous quarter. Revenue advanced 16.8% year-on-year to ₹1,399 crore for the three months ended March, up from ₹1,198 crore in the corresponding period last year. Operating income rose 13.6% year-on-year to ₹257 crore, though margins contracted to 27.1% from 28.7% in the previous quarter.
The stock rose 7.28% to ₹34,545 on Friday, though it later pared gains to trade 3.25% higher at ₹33,245 as of 3:23 p.m. The scrip has fallen 9.94% in the last 12 months and 5.45% year-to-date. According to market data, total traded volume stood at 1.86 times its 30-day average with a relative strength index of 32.97. The current dividend compares to a final dividend of ₹160 per share in July 2025 and a special dividend of ₹375 per share in July 2024.
