Muhurat trading represents a special one-hour window for trading that is organized on Diwali, with the word 'Muhurat' meaning auspicious time. According to Hindu beliefs, Muhurat refers to a time when planets are aligned favorably for positive results. The session is considered auspicious for investing in shares, with traders following this ritual as a token of appreciation to Goddess Lakshmi. As per the latest reports, thousands of investors across India make token purchases believing it invites prosperity and good luck in the coming year. However, investors should note that Diwali Muhurat trading sessions often remain highly volatile, with usually lighter trading volumes than normal days and prices moving quickly in either direction. While trading during auspicious times is part of Indian culture, there is no guarantee that trading on an auspicious day will yield a profit.
