
The Bengaluru Cooperative Milk Union (BAMUL) announced a price hike for Nandini brand ghee and butter products across various pack sizes. According to reports from Essential Business Intelligence, the new rates will come into effect from July 24, 2026, and remain in force until further orders. The price increases were not disclosed as a percentage, though retailers indicated that ghee prices may have increased modestly by about 2.14%, while butter prices saw a steeper percentage hike of about 8%. As per ANI, the Union has directed all retailers, franchisees, CSDs and Nandini parlour operators to implement the updated rates from July 24, with the order issued by the Managing Director of the Bengaluru Cooperative Milk Producers' Societies Union Ltd.
Under the revised pricing structure, 500-gram salted butter packs are now priced at ₹310, while unsalted butter packs will cost ₹330. The butter blister family pack has been fixed at ₹80. According to the latest circular, salted butter has been priced at ₹600 for the 10 kg bulk pack, ₹70 for the 100 gm pack, while unsalted butter will cost ₹135 for the 200 gm pack and ₹330 for the 500 gm pack. The price differential between salted and unsalted variants reflects the premium positioning of the unsalted butter product in the market.
According to the revised price list reported by Essential Business Intelligence, the one-litre Nandini ghee sachet is now priced at ₹715. The one-litre ghee PET jar is set at ₹735, while the one-litre ghee tin is priced at ₹750. For smaller quantities, Nandini ghee sachets will cost ₹10 for a 10 ml pack, ₹160 for 200 ml, ₹358 for 500 ml and ₹715 for a one-litre pack. For larger quantities, the 15-kg ghee tin has been fixed at ₹11,625. These prices represent the comprehensive range of ghee packaging options available under the Nandini brand across all BAMUL retail outlets, depots, consumer stores, franchisees, CSD canteens and Nandini milk parlours in Bengaluru.
