SBI Card and Eternal Limited, formerly known as Zomato Limited, have launched a co-branded credit card offering significant discounts and cashback benefits across multiple platforms. According to reports from SBI Card, the Eternal SBI Card will be available for applications in phases from October 22, 2026, with customers able to request early access through mobile apps starting today. The card is available on both Mastercard and RuPay networks with a foreign currency markup of 3.5%. The launch comes at an opportune time as the festive season brings increased spending on food delivery, quick-commerce purchases, shopping and entertainment, positioning the card to capitalize on heightened consumer activity across these categories.
The card offers 10% instant discounts on eligible purchases through Zomato, District, Blinkit, and Bistro, while Blinkit cardholders can receive 10% discounts on electronics and beauty products and 5% on other eligible categories. As reported by SBI Card, the combined monthly discount limit across all four platforms is ₹2,000. Additionally, the card includes a 6-month Zomato Gold membership and a monthly buy-one-get-one movie ticket offer through District, with a maximum discount of ₹200 on the second ticket. The discounts and cashback are subject to category exclusions and monthly limits, with the 1% cashback on other eligible spends not applying to transactions involving fuel, rent, taxes, insurance, education, utilities, jewellery, gaming, EMIs and certain other categories.
Cardholders can earn 5% cashback on eligible spending with Apollo 24|7, ixigo, Uber and Urban Company, capped at ₹1,000 per month. According to SBI Card, other eligible purchases earn 1% cashback, up to ₹500 per month, subject to exclusions. The cashback is automatically credited to the SBI Card account as a statement credit when the statement is generated. The card also includes a 1% fuel surcharge waiver of up to ₹200 per statement cycle.
Customers can request early access through the Zomato, Blinkit, and District apps by clicking the 'Eternal SBI Credit Card' banner at the top and following the 'Request early access' prompt. The application process involves entering registered phone number and confirming details as per Aadhaar card. Once approved, physical cards are delivered within 7-10 business days. The card is available to salaried individuals between 21-60 years of age or self-employed individuals between 25-65 years of age with good credit scores and permanent Indian addresses. The joining fee of ₹499 includes GST, while the annual fee of ₹499 is waived for customers achieving ₹2 lakh annual spending.
Salila Pande, managing director and chief executive officer of SBI Card, stated that the product was designed around customers' everyday spending needs. Akshant Goyal, chief financial officer of Eternal, emphasized that the card would seek to offer value on frequent transactions across its platforms and beyond. The launch reflects the company's commitment to bringing products customised as per diverse lifestyle preferences, offering maximum value and enhanced experience. As per the official statement to stock exchanges, the launch will bolster SBI Card's retail co-brand credit card portfolio. Analysts note that this strategic alliance between SBI Card and Eternal could potentially drive increased customer engagement and loyalty, further solidifying their positions in the competitive credit card market.
