IndusInd Bank's share price hit a fresh 52-week high of ₹1,005.65, gaining 3% on the BSE in Monday's intra-day deals, extending its past 4-day up move following the June 2026 quarter business update. According to reports from Business Standard, the stock has been rallying for the fifth straight trading day, gaining 10% in the past week, significantly outperforming the BSE Sensex which was up 2.2% during the same period. The latest trading data shows the stock maintaining strong momentum with technical indicators suggesting continued bullish sentiment.
In the April to June 2026 quarter (Q1FY27), IndusInd Bank's deposits jumped 4.5% year-on-year (YoY) and 3.8% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to ₹4.14 trillion compared with ₹3.97 trillion as on June 30, 2025 (Q1FY26), as reported by Business Standard. However, net advances fell 2.3% YoY and up 3.3% QoQ to ₹3.26 trillion. The Current Account Savings Account (CASA) ratio declined to 29.5% as on Q1FY27 compared to 31.5% in Q1FY26 and 31.2% in Q4FY26.
According to Business Standard, the gross non-performing assets (GNPA) ratio improved by 14bp quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to 3.43% in Q4FY26, and the NNPA ratio improved by 4bp QoQ to 1%, with provisioning coverage ratio (PCR) of 71.4%. The management has maintained its previous target of reducing the NNPA to about 0.6% in a phased manner over the medium term. Management expects slippages across all sectors to remain under control in FY27, with the reduction in credit cost supported by an expanding advances base.
As reported by Business Standard, India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) maintained the 'Negative' Outlook in view of the reduction in the franchise share over the last two years, with the market share of advances and deposits declining to 1.51% and 1.59% respectively in FY26 (FY24: 2.1% and 1.89%). The rating agency believes that IBL would report moderate profitability, with Return of Assets (RoA) of 1% at end-Q4FY28, largely due to negative carry from the bank's excess liquidity and a steady increase in the share of secured assets.
