
IDFC FIRST Bank has successfully mobilised $3.57 billion (₹33,975 crore) from non-resident Indian customers under the Reserve Bank of India's FCNR(B) swap window, as reported by CNBC TV18. The amount represents approximately 11% of the bank's deposit base as of June 30, 2026, demonstrating significant international fundraising capabilities. The bank's IFSC Banking Unit (IBU) facilitated around $2.60 billion (₹24,720 crore) of lending during this period, with rupee equivalents based on the exchange rate prevailing on August 31. The figures provided are provisional and unaudited, with INR equivalents calculated based on the exchange rate prevailing as of August 31, 2026.
The latest fundraising builds on IDFC FIRST Bank's recent international debt-market activity, according to CNBC TV18. The bank had priced a $500 million three-year international bond offering on August 18 and increased the issue size by $100 million to $600 million a day later. With the latest $350 million issuance, the bank has priced $950 million of international bonds within six days. Both issuances attracted demand from global institutional investors, with the new notes proposed to be listed on the Vienna Multilateral Trading Facility and other international exchanges.
IDFC FIRST Bank reported robust financial growth in the June quarter, as detailed in the exchange filing reported by CNBC TV18. Loans and advances stood at ₹3,05,488 crore, representing a 20.6% year-on-year increase from ₹2,53,233 crore and 5.2% sequential growth from ₹2,90,278 crore. Total deposits rose 17.7% year-on-year to ₹3,11,874 crore, compared with ₹2,64,971 crore a year earlier and ₹2,94,475 crore at the end of March. The credit-deposit ratio stood at 95.5% at the end of the June quarter, compared with 96.4% in the preceding quarter and 93.4% a year earlier.
The bank's asset quality continued to improve during the quarter, according to CNBC TV18. CASA deposits grew 24.7% year-on-year to ₹1,58,563 crore, taking the CASA ratio to 50.8% as of June 30, compared with 49.8% at the end of March and 48% a year earlier. The bank noted that asset quality also continued to improve during the quarter. Shares of IDFC FIRST Bank were trading at ₹87.44 on the NSE as of 3.15 pm, up 2.76% on Thursday, with the stock having advanced about 24% over the last 12 months. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations, 2015 and is part of mandatory regulatory communication by the bank to the stock exchanges.
